PURPOSE:To facilitate reduction of a temple pitch and to make possible high speed drive by setting a sprocket with every second tooth of which the short link connecting member of a pantograph link is engaged at the pitch reduction interval following the longest temple pitch interval. CONSTITUTION:A sprocket 7 is set at the starting point of reduced pitch from the longest temple pitch and members 16a, 16b connecting with short links are engaged with every second tooth of the sprocket. One set of short links 19a, 19b is lined up on both sides of the unengaged pin 16b that is located in the center. Guide rails 4-6 are provided so that the link device does not separate by centrifugal force from the teeth of the sprocket in time of high speed rotation. The intersecting angle between the short links is determined by phi=2Xcos<-1>(l/R) and a sprokcet having a radius two times as large as the conventional radius can be used to obtain the same intersecting angle.
