PURPOSE:To simplify the restarting of printing work after a power source is remipressed, by displaying a secondary image, which is generated so as to correspond to the character data in buffer memory or refresh memory, on a display means. CONSTITUTION:When a printing switch is turned ON, character shape information at this time is stored in a character shape memory part 12 and the printing position stored in a present position counter 21 is stored in a printing position memory part 13. When the disconnection of a power source is generated, a control part 3 reads data of the memory parts 12, 13 holding data even when the power source is disconnected by a back-up power source 14 on the basis of the reading order from an input part 2 after the power source is reimpressed while an operation part 19 calculates data of an imaginary body and writes the same in buffer memory 5 through a buffer memory control part 6. The display state before the power source is disconnected displays a printing character 2a as an imaginary body 2c after the power source is reimpressed. |
