SELF-TEST METHOD OF PCM TERMINAL STATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To attain efficient path test and fault retrieval by inserting a 0 dbmO digital pattern of the standard level diagram from a 64kb/s data section and reflecting simultaneously sound input/output points and input/output points of a PCM line. CONSTITUTION:An external access operation function 12 and functions 1, 11 reflecting simultaneously input/output points of sound side of each channel and input/output points of a PCM side line are provided, a digital signal separating function 5 of sound in the unit of channel is provided to the input side of a multiplex function 6 and a digital signal detecting function 10 is connected. An output of a separating function 7 is provided with a digital signal inserting function 8 and the 0 dbmO digital pattern of the standard level diagram is inserted. The test whether or not a fault exists in functions of the multiplex function 6 and the separating function 7 being a common section and the test of each channel bus are conducted at the same time.
