PURPOSE:To obtain voltage booster circuit which has a simple structure without inverter or the like, can readily connect in multiple stages and has high stepup efficiency by respectively applying the prescribed number of phases of polyphase pulses through capacitive elements with the prescribed number of unit circuits as a set, and increasing the amplitude voltage of the polyphase pulse larger than the potential of the conductive element and the potential difference of the surface potentials of a semiconductor substrate. CONSTITUTION:Gates of MOS transistors 11, 13-15 connected in series are respectively connected to their own drains to form unit circuits. The drain and the gate of the first unit circuit of input side, i.e., an MOS transistor 11 are connected to an input terminal 9. Clock pulses phi1 of the same phase are inputted through capacitive elements 19, 21 to the even number unit circuits, i.e., the MOS transistors 13, 15, and a clock pulse phi2 of reverse phase to the pulse phi1 is inputted through capacitive element 20 to the odd number unit circuit, i.e., the MOS transistor 14. The stepup voltage is held via the element 16 and produced from an output terminal 10. |
