PURPOSE:To load unload an arbor automatically on a machine tool by providing the tip of the main shaft of the machine tool with an enclosing fixing member having a bevel gear on the inner face thereof, while providing the arbor with an engaging member having on its outer periphery a bevel gear to be fixed into said enclosing fixing member. CONSTITUTION:The arbor 2 is inserted into the mounting hole 3 until the upper end of the shank 12 is abutted on the lower end of the draw bolt 4. When the arbor 2 is further inserted upwards, both bevel gears 8 and 15 are entered into engagement with their tooth faces being contact with each other. The tool exchanger detects such a position to stop rotation, whereby loading of the arbor 2 is completed. In case of unloading the arbor 2, the female screw of the shank 12 is drown out from the draw bolt 4, whereby the arbor 2 is also drawn out, and drops down by its own weight. |
