PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism of a longitudinally cutting and core removing device as a whole by arranging such that the distance between the centers of a cutter and a core removing plate is elongated by integer times, than the pitch of the glass wool heat insulating cylinder transferred by a conveyor in a carriage. CONSTITUTION:When the reciprocal movement of a carriage 7 is started, the air cylinder 69 in the mandrel gripping device 68 of a longitudinally cutting device 10 is actuated, whereby levers 72a, 72b grip the mandrel 2, and the longitudinally cutting center of a cutter 59 is aligned to the mandrel center, and then a slit is cut by the cutter 59. The air cylinder 78 of a core removing device 11 presses down a core removing plate 79 and draws out the heat insulating cylinder onto which the slit has been formed, from the mandrel 2. |
