PURPOSE:To improve the static strength, fatigue strength and plastic deformation resistnce of a thin maraging steel hoop of a specified class by subjecting the hoop to solubilizing treatment, cold working and aging under specified conditions in order. CONSTITUTION:A thin maraging steel hoop of 200-300 KSI class is subjected to solubilizing treatment by holding at 800-900 deg.C for 0.5-2hr and rapid cooling. The hoop is then cold worked at 20-60% working rate, and it is aged by holding at 470-530 deg.C for 1-10hr and air cooling. |
