PURPOSE:To enable a simply constructed equipment to make electrical drive of compressors directly by providing both a high frequency generator which is driven by a gas turbine and a semiconductor starting device which is installed in parallel with a plurality of motors driven by said high frequency generator and starts the motors. CONSTITUTION:Using a high speed gas turbine 5, a bipolar high frequency generator 6 is driven to generate a power supply of tens to one hundred and tens heltzs. The high frequency power supply drives bipolar synchronous motors or bipolar induction motors 8. High speed compressors 2 may be driven without use of any speed increase gear. For starting of the motors, a semiconductor starting device by a thyristor or so 9 is installed in series to the high frequency generator 6 and in parallel with the motors 8 so as to start them sequentially. |
