PURPOSE:To easily settle a marine structure by a method in which a closed cellular molding is housed in the inside space of the marine structure, the structure is settled by introducing sea water into the structure while discharging air from the inside space, and the closed cellular molding is removed. CONSTITUTION:A large number of closed cellular moldings 8 are housed in the inside space 7 of a platform 1, whereupon the platform 1 begins to settle. When sea water is introduced from inside and outside through holes 5 and 5' into the space 7, air in the space 7 is discharged through a hatch 6 to the outside. After the completion of the settlement, when a recovery tube 9 is connected to an opening 3 to open the hatch 6, the closed cellular moldings 8 float up in the recovery tube 9 and are discharged to the outside. Since no deformation of the wall of the structure occurs even when the thickness is small, the weight and material cost of the structure can be minimized, load to be required for the settlement can be reduced, and the need for control on compressed air can be eliminated. |
