PURPOSE:To accurately analyze concentration of a material with the same mass number by using carrier gas in which the gas with the intermediate ionized potential of two recognized materials is mixed properly. CONSTITUTION:An atmospheric pressure ionized or chemically inoized mass spectrometr uses carrier gas in which the gas with the intermediate ionized potential of two materials that generate an ion with the same or similar mass number is mixed properly so as to recognize the two materials. For example, when the concentration of CO mixed infinitesimally in nitrogen gas is analyzed, the carrier gas that contains at least 100ppm Kr gas is used. As a result, this mass spectrometer can measure the CO concentration, etc. in pure nitrogen gas with high resolution. |
