PURPOSE:To check a validity of every software instruction, and to raise reliablity by checking the number of steps of a microprogram, detecting and abnormality of a microprogram sequency, and reporting it as an error at that time point. CONSTITUTION:A microprogram is read out to a register 6 and executed one after another by an updating signal 15 outputted from a microsequence control part 9, and whenever it is executed, a step counter 7 is brought to decrement since a minus count signal 17 is outputted through an AND gate 16 by the updating signal. In the final step of an instruction, a check signal 20 is outputted, whether a value of the step counter 7 is ''0'' or not is checked by a comparator 21, and unless it is ''0'', a sequence error signal 22 is negerated and reported to a processing device.
