PURPOSE:To provide sufficient bending strength to vertical couplers by a method in which shear reinforcing plates are set in the longitudinal direction over both sides at the central part of a vertical coupler partition plate, and large numbers of pressure-bearing steel materials are welded vertically at an adequate interval between both sides of the reinforcing plates against shearing. CONSTITUTION:Side plates 2 in contact with the wall of an excavated trench are welded to the outside edges of a coupler partition plate 1, and shear reinforcing plates 3 are integrally welded between both inner edges facing each other of the body 1. Large numbers of pressure-bearing steel materials 4 are vertically welded at an adequate interval to both faces of the plates 3. Cross iron bars 5 are then set piercingly, and vertical iron bars 6 and stirrups 7 are fixed to form a preceding element iron bar cage. Sufficient bearing forces to shearing force and sufficient bending strength can thus be provided to the couplers and the water sealing property of the couplers can also be raised. |
