PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of foreign sounds and improve the durability by using a polyurethane rubber, which has a specific dynamic attenuation value (tandelta) as an elastic body, in a cleaning member. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning member 30 constitutes a trailing-system cleaning device 50 which forms an obtuse angle to the surface of a photosensitive body 14 in the rotation direction of an arrow A. As the result of the test of conventional goods using a polyurethane rubber and samples 1-4 at ambient temperature 0 deg.C with oscillation frequency 1Hz with respect to the generation of squeaking, <=0.30 tandelta is better, and desirably, 0.1<=tandelta<=0.30 is better for preventing the generation of squeaking. Materials whose glass transition point is about <=-35 deg.C are advantageous. With respect to a significant difference of wear width, about <=9% creep and about<=5% permanent set are advantageous. |
