PURPOSE:To realize the modulating system having wider detecting window width by adopting the 8-10 conversion where a sampled and quantized digital data bit in the unit of 8-bit and a code word in 10-bit is assigned to 256 ways of sets of the data. CONSTITUTION:After an input is sampled and quantized, the interleaving method, error detection/correcting code or the like are applied to the input, and then a synchronizing signal is added and fed to a modulating circuit as a serial data. A binary data is sectioned in the unit of 8-bit by taking a rear edge of the synchronizing signal as a reference, converted into a parallel data by a serial/parallel converter 1 and given as an address of a 8-10 conversion ROM2 to which 256 ways of 10-bit code word data are written. An output of the ROM2 is converted serially by a parallel/series converter 3 and given as a modulation, output of the 8-10 convertion type. In case of the demodulation, the exact converse operation is attained. |
