PURPOSE:To obtain an anti-fogging agent which as an excellent anti-fogging effect on a glass surface and is highly safe against the human body, by blending a fatty acid ester nonionic surfactant, a polyhydric alcohol and ethyl alcohol or water. CONSTITUTION:An anti-fogging agent consists of 2-6wt% fatty acid ester nonionic surfactant, 5-15wt% polyhydric alcohol and 79-93wt% ethyl alcohol and/or water. Examples of the fatty acid ester nonionic surfactants are sorbitan fatty acid esters(e.g. sorbitan monopalmitate) and sucrose fatty acid esters(e.g. sucrose monostearate) which are used as food additives. The surfactant is used in an amount of 2-6wt% based on that of the anit-fogging agent. The polyhydric alcohol acts as a component which prevents the deterioration of prevents glass transparency by its freezing point lowering action by the freezing of water deposited on the glass surface at a low temp. |
