The invention relates to a solar collector with direct pressure release intended to be associated with a reversible heat pump, that is to say allowing use for heating and climate control. The invention bears on two separate points: - in "heating" operation, the collector defrosts automatically without cycle reversal as soon as the light of day appears; - in "climate control" operation, the collector is capable of withstanding the high pressure of the compressor. The collector which is the subject of the present patent is the indispensable element of a system for producing hot water by solar energy and chilled water in association with a heat pump. <IMAGE>
