The track handling machine has a carrier structure with an intermediate support (8) adjacent a universal joint (3) linking two carrier parts (1A,B). The support has an intermediate vehicle (30), with two separately driven endless tracks (10), with two-way adjustment. An intermediate bogie (31) is located on the bottom traverse (36) of a transverse upright frame (37), with top traverse (38) linked to one of the carrier structure parts. The bottom traverse is removable from the space between the frame two posts (40) by separating one of its ends from the frame and swinging the other end and/or by separating both its ends from the frame.
