PURPOSE:To secure stable pneumatic conveying operation by furnishing a shutoff valve at a divergent pipe on the downstream of a cast-in station, and thereby preventing air leak-in from cast-in station in connection with divergent pipe which is not related with conveying operation of solids. CONSTITUTION:A blower 9 of a collecting station 2 is operated to suck in the air contained in a conveyor pipe 3. At this time, all shutoff valves 16b, 16c, etc. but a one 16a provided at a divergent pipe 3a on the understream of a cast-in station 21a serving this transportation are shut so as to generate a specific air stream. Then an exhaust lid 27a of the cast-in station 21a is opened, and a storage drum 24a is rotated to drop solids stored therein into the divergent pipe 3a, and they are exhausted and supplied. At this time, the other divergent pipes 3b- 3f are shut by the shutoff valves 16b-16f, so that the air flowing into the abovementioned conveying pipe 3 is restricted to an opening at the uppermost end stream of divergent pipe 3a and to the cast-in stations 21a, 21a'. Thus the amount of air leak is reduced greatly. |
