<p>PURPOSE:In a sorter for copier, to perform next sorting automatically by detecting that no copy has been fed to the sorter for more than predetermined time and deleting the memory of previous sorting number. CONSTITUTION:It is comprised of means for carrying a copy containing member 26 to the copy receiving position, means for storing the number of copies which responds to the result of means 28 for counting the time interval of copies to be discharged toward the copy containing member 26 with correspondence to the result from means for detecting the existence of copy to be fed into said member 26 and control means for rewriting the sheet number information when said count exceeds over predetermined reference. Consequently even when the sorter is operated continuously with different sorting sheet number, the sorting sheet number can be updated for every document enabling accurate sorting.</p> |
