<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the work loss due to the preparation of the shortage memorandum by a picker by storing the content of an item indicator showing shortage then outputting a reset signal to this item indicator. CONSTITUTION:When picking items in some item category to a certain tray become shortage or lacking, a picker performs all picking directions displayed by other item indicators, depresses individual reset switches, then depresses the reset switch of a shortage directing unit AROU without depressing the reset switch of this item indicator showing lacking. When an operation panel 3 confirms that this switch has been depressed, it detects the occurrence of shortage in the item category and searches for an item indicator not reset by a polling action. Next, after the item address, quantity display, and order number of this item indicator are stored, the item indicator is automatically reset, and a branch unit 9b and a shortage order correction printer 9a are put in a shortage tray and operated by the stored information.</p> |
