PURPOSE:To obtain a polycrystalline ferrite having high toughness, suitable for ultra-fine processing, and producible in large quantities at a low cost, by adding Zr and Ca or Na to an Mn-Zn ferrite or Ni-Zn ferrite. CONSTITUTION:The objective ferrite is an Mn-Zn or Ni-Zn ferrite containing 0.005-0.5wt% of Zr and 0.01-0.5wt% of Ca and/or Na. The polycrystalline ferrite obtained thereby has, in contrast to the conventional polycrystalline ferrite, remarkably improved stress dispersion coefficient which is a measure of toughness, and improved ultra-fine processability. |
