PURPOSE:To perform accurate inspection of a terminal of a flexible wire in a short time by a method wherein an image signal of a TV camera performing horizontal scanning at a right angle to the wire terminal is subjected to operational processing. CONSTITUTION:When a wire 12 is detected by a wire detecting means 14, a pressure-bonded portion of a terminal 11 is irradiated by a light from a light source 13 through an optical fiber 16 and a condenser 15. An image formed on a light-receiving plane 17a of a television camera TV is scanned horizontally at a right angle to the wire 12. Out of an image signal thus obtained, a signal delayed for one horizontal scanning time interval by a delay circuit 19 and a signal of real time are inputted to an operation means 20, wherefrom the difference between these signals is outputted. The total sum of the absolute value of the difference output is calculated by a sum operation means 21, the output of this means is compared by an estimation means 23 with an information stored in a memory 22, and an information on an estimation of acceptable or rejectable is outputted to a display means 24. Accordingly, accurate inspection can be performed in a short time even for a terminal of a flexible wire. |
