PURPOSE:To have sure feed of sheets and prevent contamination thereof by transporting in frictional engagement with sheets during reciprocation, and by returning to the initial position in separated condition during the return stroke. CONSTITUTION:When a feeder member 10 is situated near the initial position, an engagement edge 3d stretching in the traveling direction of the feeder member 10 is formed over an appropriate length, and the height of this engagement edge 3d is determined so that the engagement edge 3d contacts a pin 13 when the feeder member 10 takes a position a little tilted counterclockwise, where a friction member 11 of feeder member shall not contact the copying sheets, whereby the timing of the feeder member 10 commencing the transport with is delayed with respect to swing of the lever 4. Thereby sheets are transported surely one after another during reciprocation, and the feeder member is separated completely from the sheet during the return stroke so as to eliminate risk of sheets contamination. |
