PURPOSE:To constitute a stepless speed change gear simply and at a low cost by applying the selection signal which indicates the shift operation position onto a control valve piece of a speed change ratio control valve apparatus for controlling speed change ratio. CONSTITUTION:An operation position detector 84 for detecting the operation position of a shift operation apparatus for selectively operating the traveling range of a car is arranged, and the selection signal for a prescribed hydraulic pressure which indicates the selected traveling range which is output by the operation position detecting apparatus 84 is applied onto a shift control valve 82. Therefore, the speed change ratio is varied according to the operation position and is controlled according to the speed change pattern corresponding to the operation position, and the necessity of an expensive computer and electromagnetic control valve, etc. is obviated, and a stepless speed change gear can be constituted simply and at a low cost. |
