<p>PURPOSE:To select and input optionally a date data by operating a prescribed control key, by providing a means for forming automatically plural pieces of date data of each different display format. CONSTITUTION:A date data table forming part 71 reads out date information 72 from a timepiece 8 and displays the Christian Era or the Japanese Era, therefore, in case of the Japanese Era, a flag 73 is turned on. Subsequently, a date data is generated in a date data table 9 by referring to a date display format designating data 74. Next, in accordance with whether the date data to be generated is the Japanese Era or the Christian Era, and whether the Japanese Era flag 73 is on or off, the date information 72 is adopted as it is, or the Japenese Era is converted to the Christian Era, or vice versa. The kind of the remaining character of the designating data 74, a character size, and the parameter of a character style are analyzed and a corresponding date data is generated. The generated date data is registered until it becomes the number of pieces which can be registered in the table 9. When the registration becomes full, a date data selecting part 75 is started, one date data is selected in accordance with a prescribed algorithm from the table 9, and a display num ber is recorded and brought an output display to a display device 10.</p> |
