PURPOSE:To make a valve open/close device compact, by disposing a motor shaft, a torque detection mechanism, a limit switch, etc. in paralel with a valve spindle. CONSTITUTION:A speed reduction mechanism 22 made of plural spur gears is provided between a motor 19 and a drive sleeve 13. The first driven gear 24 and second pinion 26 of the mechanism 22 are used as planet gears so that the overload torque of the drive sleeve 13 is detected by a torque switch. Since the axes of the motor 19, the torque switch and a limit switch are parallel with those of a valve spindle 18 and the drive sleeve 13, an efficient disposition can be effected around the drive sleeve. In addition, a worm shaft, which would extend perpendicularly to the drive sleeve, is dispensed with. A torque detection mechanism is thus made compact. |
