PURPOSE:To preven breaking of linear member, biting of winding and loosening of linear member by detecting the residual amount of linear member wound around a feed spool while applying the optimal braking force onto said spool upon completion of winding. CONSTITUTION:A residual linear material detector 15 comprised of a tachogenerator 9 for detecting the rotation of a feed spool and a converter for converting the output from the tachogenerator into an electric signal corresponding with the residual amount of linear material wound around said spool is connected to a motor 2 for the feed spool and the output from said detector 15 is provided through pneumoelectric converter 18 and pneumo-hydraulic converter 19 to a disc brake 20. Since the optimal braking force corresponding with the residual amount can be applied onto the feed spool upon completion of winding, cutting of linear material or biting of winding due to abrupt braking can be prevented while loosening of linear material due to insufficient braking force can be prevented. |
