PURPOSE:To depress and hold the fruit with a predetermined depressing force regardless of the fruit size by providing a fruit depressor slidably in the depressing direction of the fruit through a spring and rotatably in the conveying direction of the fruit. CONSTITUTION:Individual sprockets are rotated to drive a conveyor 2 and an endless chain 4, a fruit depressor 3 is rotated to the starting position of the moving locus W via the rotation of the endless chain 4, and the upper surface of the fruit 1 mounted and conveyed on the conveyor 2 is depressed. During this depression, for example, when the fruit 1 is large, the fruit depressor 3 is quickly moved upward against the spring pressure of a constant-load and constant-torque spring 5, and the fruit depressor 3 is prevented from hitting the fruit and hurting the outer skin of the fruit. Furthermore, the fruit depressor 3 is provided rotatably in the conveying direction of the endless chain 4, thereby the fruit depressor 3 is rotated when conveyed and invariably hung to the conveyor 2 side and moved, and the depressing face of the fruit depressor 3 softly touches the fruit and never hurts its outer skin. |
