PURPOSE:To reproduce numbers of programs without replacing disks by loading plural compact disks and allowing one optical pickup to move among them freely. CONSTITUTION:Two left and right parallel arrays of disk driving motors 5 are fitted to a chassis 1. A player incorporates a moving chassis 15, guide shafts 8 and 9 are arranged thereupon in parallel, and the optical pickup 2 is movable on guide shafts 8 and 9 through a linear bearing 4. A chassis driving motor 21 engages a gear 17 through a worm gear 20, gears 17 and 19 couple with a transmission shaft 18, and the gear 19 engages a long-sized rack gear 22. The operation of the optical pickup 2 is controlled by the rotation of a tracking motor 13. The operation of the moving chassis 15 is controlled by the rotation of a chassis driving motor 21 and the chassis moves as shown by arrows A and B in the figure. The moving chassis 15 moves up and down and stops at a desired disk position, and the optical pickup 2 moves left and right to perform retrieval. |
