PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise even if there is a large skew by providing a specific overlap period at the connection part of the next track for the reproduction of a sound signal, and leading two signals in the overlap period through a mixing circuit. CONSTITUTION:Output signals of regenerative amplifiers 701 and 702 are supplied to the mixing circuit 80 whose mixing ratio is variable. Then, the mixing ratio is so controlled that one signal decreases from a maximum to a minimum and the other signal increases from the minimum to the maximum in the overlap period wherein both heads HA1 and HA2 contact a tape T. The output of this mixing circuit 80 is supplied to band-pass filters 17L and 71R. Therefore, the zero-cross point of the carrier of an FM signal varies smoothly even if there is a large skew, so the signal becomes continuous in phase without any break, the waveform of the signal after demodulation is not disordered, and noise is reduced. |
