PURPOSE:To make an engine test efficient while reducing the cost for the entire installation, by providing one engine test line with a plurality of running-in test devices and at least one smoke test device. CONSTITUTION:An engine conveying line 1 comprises a stand-by line section 1a and a test line section 1b, and the test line section 1b is provided with three running-in test devices 2a-2c and one smoke test device 3. These devices are provided so that a time (e.g. 300sec) required for a running-in test of one engine in the running-in test devices 2a-2b can be set at three times longer than a time (e.g. 100sec) required for a smoke test of one engine in the smoke test device 3. According to this constitution, the smoke test of the engine subjected to the running-in tests by a plurality of running-in test devices can be performed by one smoke test device. |
