The invention relates to timber girders of the truss type, making it possible to assemble the intermediate crosspieces to the upper and lower fibres without machining the latter. They comprise an upper timber member 1 and a lower timber member 2 which are assembled to the intermediate crosspieces 3 by means of a band 4 around the anchoring bolts 7 and the threaded clamping pins 6. Among the more advantageous applications of the invention may be mentioned : dismantleable girders which are very compact for transport; and once installed, they avoid the use of intermediate supports. <IMAGE>
