PURPOSE:To enable an effective drill change, by providing old and new drill pots, a new drill cartridge, and two kinds of longer and shorter pusher rods in an automatic changer of small diameter drills for drilling printed circuit boards. CONSTITUTION:When a spindle head completes drilling of a workpiece W on a table 12, a saddle moves in an X direction to be positioned above an old drill pot 22 so that an old drill Do is inserted into an old drill pot. Then, the saddle moves to a drill change position 24 for pushing a new drill Dn in a drill cartridge 25 into a clamp craw by an air cylinder 59. Then, An air cylinder 44 of a drill pusher 24 lowers pusher rods 41, 42 so that the new drill Dn is pushed out into a new drill port 23, and the old drill Do is pushed out from the old drill pot 22 into a guide pipe 23 to be recovered by a recovery case 63. After that, the new drill Dn is taken out of the new drill pot 23 to be mounted on a spindle head. |
