The invention relates to a device for forming shoe soles made of mouldable plastic onto a shoe shaft gripped on a last. The device has a last-receptacle and a hollow mould body which consists of an upper mould, forming a two-part mould ring, and of a tank-shaped lower mould held in a master mould. The last-receptacle and the mould ring form a structural unit which is mounted pivotably on a pivoting device. A lifting device serves for the relative height adjustment of the structural unit in relation to the master mould or vice versa. The movable part of the lifting device is connected to vertical guide bodies, between which the pivoting device for at least one last, receptacle/mould carrier structural unit is mounted. The longitudinal axis or axes of the sole extend at the same time transversely to the axis of the pivoting device. The guide bodies can be rigidly connected to a cylinder body forming the lifting device, in which a piston, acted upon by pressure means, is arranged displaceably, the piston rod of which is rigidly connected to the stationary master mould.
