The invention relates to a device for clamping cutting inserts in recesses of insert holders, with a dog rotatably mounted in the insert holder and a clamping member which is provided on the insert holder and can be pressed against the cutting insert by the dog. Here, the clamping member is designed as a pin which is fastened unsupported in the insert holder and the free end of which can be pressed by the dog against the cutting insert. The pin can at the same time serve as a mounting for the dog in the insert holder.
