Stone slab working machine for producing inside and outside contours on the edges of stone slabs using end-milling cutters in the copy-milling method. The sensing roller rolling off on the cutting pattern is positively driven and is pressed against the cutting pattern by force-generating means with such force that sufficient force to advance the milling tool is applied by the frictional force acting on the sensing roller. The tool holder and its drive and the sensing roller and its drive are arranged on a support which is smoothly guided on a freely pivotable pivot arm, so that the support and the pivot arm are pulled along by the sensing roller rolling off onto the cutting pattern so as to follow the contours of the latter.
