PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pickling treatment apparatus for a steel strip capable of preventing the leakage of by-product gas generated at the time of pickling a steel strip from an opening window provided at a pickling tank to the outside of the pickling tank. SOLUTION: In the pickling treatment apparatus for a steel strip where an opening window 5 for allowing the end parts of a sink roll 4 dipping a stainless steel strip 1 into a pickling solution stored into a pickling tank 2 to move up and down at the outside of the pickling tank 2 is formed on the pickling tank 2, the upper end part and the lower end part of the opening window 5 are each provided with a sealing water injector 6 injecting sealing water 7 on the end part of the sink roll 4 and sealing the opening window 5.
