PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform a uniform exhausting pressure control in a furnace top hopper by surely measuring the pressure in the furnace top hopper and the pressure difference between the pressure in the furnace top hopper and the pressure in the furnace top. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for controlling the uniform exhausting pressure in the furnace top hopper of a blast furnace which adjusts the pressure in this hopper based on the pressure in the furnace top hopper of the blast furnace and the pressure difference between the pressure in this hopper and the pressure in the furnace top, in the above furnace top hopper, a diaphragm type pressure gauge P1 for measuring the pressure in this hopper is set and also, a pressure difference calculator for calculating the pressure difference from the pressure in the hopper measured with this diaphragm type pressure gauge and the pressure in the furnace top measured with a furnace top pressure gauge P<SB>A</SB>or P<SB>B</SB>, is provided.
