PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality still pictures by digitizing and storing still pictures with a sampling frequency required for digitizing still pictures and reading out thereafter them in a speed matched to a sampling frequency of a digital audio signal of a VTR. CONSTITUTION:An input signal A1 is converted to a digital signal in an A/D converter 8 by a 4-fold sampling frequency of the subcarrier of color information of the video signal and is stored temporarily in a memory 9 and is read out in a certain speed by an output part 10. A read-out digital still picture signal D1 is outputted to a digital audio input part of the VTR. In case of reproducing, the still picture signal recorded on a VTR 12 is read out with the sampling frequency of the digital audio signal. This still picture signal D2 is stored in the memory 9 and is read out with a 4-fold frequency of the subcarrier of color information of the video signal and is converted to the video signal by a D/A converter 15. |
