PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified conjugated diene polymer exhibiting high improving effects of filler dispersibility in both a formulation where silica is used as a filler and a formulation where carbon black is used as a filler. SOLUTION: The modified conjugated diene polymer is obtained by modifying an end of a conjugated diene polymer with a modifying agent represented by formula (I) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a single bond or a bivalent inert hydrocarbon group; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each independently a 1-20C monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group or a 6-18C monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group; n is an integer of 0-2; when a plurality of OR<SP>3</SP>'s exist, they can be the same or different; and neither an active proton nor an onium salt is contained in the molecule).
