The present invention relates to an arrangement and a method for a water/steam circuit, in particular for heat or steam supply for a dry cleaner, a laundry, a dairy or the like, with at least one steam generator, a heat or steam consumer, a feedwater container and a gas extractor, which are interconnected by pipes, condensate occurring in or after the steam consumer being conducted into the feedwater container and the steam generator again being supplied with feedwater from the feedwater container, a condensate/feedwater heat exchanger (1) being provided, in which the condensate arising, before introduction into the feedwater container (2), delivers heat to the feedwater to preheat the feedwater supplied to the steam generator (3), and the preheated feedwater furthermore passing through the gas extractor (4) before entering the steam generator (3). <IMAGE>
