<p>PURPOSE:To improve operability by incorporating a voice generating device in an inputting device and pronouncing recognized characters by voice. CONSTITUTION:The CPU34 of a character recognizing device 2 examines whether inputted coordinate data is data that indicates completion of inputting of one character. When the coordinate data indicates completion of character inputting, reads out the stored input position coordinate from an internal storage device, and recognizes inputted characters. Then, it sends out character codes corresponding to the recognized characters to a voice producing device 4. On receiving this code, the device 4 accesses an ROM37 for voice by character codes sent from the handwritten character recognizing device 2, gives readout voice information to a voice synthesizer 38, and after converting to voice information as analog information, amplifies 39 and outputs as voice from a speaker 5.</p> |
