PURPOSE:To transmit an audio signal efficiently by performing detection of the voiced state in the transmission side, assignment of audio signal transmission lines accompanied with this detection, etc. with codes based on expressions corresponding to momentarily changing instantaneous values of the audio signal. CONSTITUTION:A DSI transmission-side device 12 consists of a voice detector 4, a transmission-side line connection control circuit 5, a transmission-side matrix switch 6, and a transmission-side code converting circuit 14. A DSI reception-side device 13 consists of a reception-side line connection control circuit 8, a reception-side switch matrix 9, and a reception-side code converting circuit 15. Generally, the number of audio signal transmission lines 10a, 10b...10c connecting the DSI transmission-side device 12 and the DSI reception-side device 13 is set to a value smaller than the number of individual transmission lines 1a, 1b...1c and the number of individual reception lines 2a, 2b...2c. An assigning signal transmission line 11 connects the transmission-side line connection control circuit 5 and the reception-side line connection control circuit 8. |
