摘要 PURPOSE:To raise image density, to prevent attachment of a carrier, and to obtain superior image characteristics by specifying the developing conditions of a developer using a spherical or flat perovskite type ferrimagnetic ferrite carrier. CONSTITUTION:A spherical or flat ferrimagnetic ferrite carrier of perovskite structure represented by YFeO3 a part of Y and/or Fe of which is substd. by univalent or higher valent metals is used for a developer. The distance between a photosensitive drum and a developing sleeve is 0.5-2.5mm., and the regulation width of the developer is 0.5-2.5mm.. A number of magnetic poles of a magnet roll installed in the inside of the sleeve is 6-7, and its intensity is 200-1,000G. The surface of the sleeve is worked by shot blasting, and further, developing conditions, such as controlling conveying plates, stirring mechanisms, the position of the principal magnetic poles, so as to obtain an image superior in linearity, gradation, image density, etc.
