Novel polypeptides represented by the following formula: (wherein X represents a bond or a peptide or amino acid residue comprising 1 to 16 amino acids counted from the side of the C terminal, and Y represents a peptide or amino acid residue comprising 1 to 5 amino acids of counted from the side of the N terminal) and their protein conjugates, hybridoma and monoclonal antibody induced from said polypeptides or said protein conjugates, and method for detecting and purifying human gamma -interferon utilizing them.
