PURPOSE:To obtain a compact optical system by arraying plural spherical lenses for power variation for respective image-forming unit elements specified by the angular apertures of respective lens elements constituting an equivalant lens array. CONSTITUTION:A life-size image forming array device 1 is formed by cutting numbers of convergent optical transmitter elements 2 which are equal in optical condition such as a refractive index distribution and diameter to some specific length and arranging them so that their incidence end surfaces 21 and projection end surfaces 22 are close to each other in parallel, and the elements form one, two, or three arrays. A partial image 4a of part 3a of an object 3 is formed on a group of every 2-3 (or 5-6) elements, and such partial images are put together to form the life-size image 4 of the object 3. Then, each partial image 4a is the composite image of partial images 4a-1, 4a-2, and 4a-3 formed on each element 2. |
