摘要 PURPOSE:To detect an accurate azimuth easily by running a moving body so that it faces in every direction when a correction mode is set by an operating means, and then approximating an azimuth sensor output to a maximum and a minimum value and thus correcting the azimuth. CONSTITUTION:The maximum and minimum values of the output signal of the azimuth sensor 1 are initialized, and a correction coefficient K is set to 1 to decide on whether the correction mode is set or not. When so, the output of the azimuth sensor 1 is read in a step 13. Then if the output signal of the azimuth sensor 1 is saturated, the warning showing that correction is impossible is displayed and a run mode is entered. On the other hand, when it is decided that the output signal of the azimuth sensor 1 is not saturated, the maximum and minimum values of VX and VY are calculated in steps 16 and 17 and substituted with VX1 and VY2, and VX2 and VY2. Said processing is carried on until a vechicle makes one turn to face in every direction and the correction mode is switched to another mode by the operation means 3. Then, the correction coefficient K is calculated.
