PURPOSE:To keep waste water which contains a fluorescent light leak inspecting agent within a reference discharge range without any drain treatment, and prevent environmental pollution by using an optical whitening agent which is colorless and transparent when dissolved in water and a fluorine system surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:The water soluble optical whitening agent uses a coumarin derivative, etc., which is colorless and transparent when dissolved in water and fluoresces by being irradiated with ultraviolet rays. The fluorine system surface active agent which has sufficient penetration effect when used to low concentration and is within the drain reference value range without any drain treatment is added to the optical whitening agent together with water, and they are mixed and stirred by a stirring machine to obtain the fluorescent light leak inspecting agent. This inspecting agent is put in a tank which is open partially and can be sealed, and diluted with water by 5,000-10,000 times to fill the tank and left for 24 hours to penetrate a defect. Then, the fluorescent light leak inspecting agent bleeding from the penetrating flaw fluoresces by being irradiated in the dark with ultraviolet rays from outside of the tank to find the presence and position of the penetrating flaw. |
