Overcurrent switch

The overcurrent switch (circuit breaker) through which current flows and which is suitable for continuous operation contains a switching element which consists of a preformed component (made of a memory alloy) and of a further component, the said components exhibiting a shape change behaviour in opposite directions in the event of temperature changes.
