PURPOSE:To definitely prevent the clogging of a filter over a long period of time and to also certainly achieve the removal of fine particles, by revolving a liquid supplied into a casing under constant pressure along the outer periphery of a filter cylinder in such a state that a rotary cage is rotated at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A rotary cage 6 is rotated at a high speed in such a state that a casing 1 is filled with oil. In this state, low quality heavy oil is successively supplied into the casing as a purifying liquid from an introducing pipe 22. Whereupon, the heavy component in the heavy oil is flowed downwardly to the inner bottom part of the casing 1 is drain. On the other hand, the light component therein is flowed into a rotary cage 6 and thereafter flowed into a filter cylinder 13 while impurities are removed and the usual particles in the light component are spattered on the basis of the high speed revolution of the light component or cut and, therefore, each passing perforation of a filter 14 is not clogged. In addition, the purified component flowed into the filter cylinder 13 is successively supplied to a ship's engine etc., through an outflow pipe 11.
